As The Happiness Warrior, I tend to gravitate towards people and places with a happier positive vibe. It’s often intentional and always purposeful. Happy people always welcome other happy people into their worlds and share their connection. They are happy with who they are at that moment and are comfortable with how the world views them. This universal connection is what makes us human, a collective force of energy that raises our vibration.

It’s a proven fact that when we engage with the right attitude we can all be happier and find the freedom to choose a better path in life. This mindset helps us to create better opportunities and life decisions.

The scope of our lives is always broader when we like who we are able to see ourselves with self-awareness in alignment with the values that guide our thoughts and actions. This helps us to create a wider perspective of others’ beliefs and better understand ourselves. It helps us to exist in a happier framework and begin to remove old self-defeating fears.  It’s making a conscious decision to view each new day with an open mind and sense of adventure.

As The Happiness Warrior, I know without a doubt that I am as I exist and know that the universe will show me the path that provides life’s answers. Living in the present and now is how we begin to see who we really are. Truthful and authentic. All knowledge comes from within.

One of my favorite things is to ride my bike as often as possible and in all kinds of weather. It’s a time when I find inspiration and self-validation. A sole activity that shows me what I’m capable of. It keeps me focused and reliant on caring for my body and strengthens my intention.

I never know what I’ll come across and always approach new places with appreciation and a sense of wonder. A choice to engage and be actively present and in the here and now. So many opportunities to connect with others and share a friendly nod or smile.

I tend to frequent places that are in nature and enjoy the sense of freedom that comes with feeling the sunlight through a canopy of trees. I focus on acceptance for others that see who are living their lives authentically. Their inner happiness so publicly displayed always makes me feel joy.

Living in our truth and knowing who we are at this very moment is our authentic life. This is how we begin to redirect our energy from longing and envy to one of peace and serenity. It’s how we become happiness warriors for our own lives and those of others.

When we can begin to learn how to love who we are and live in the present, we can begin to live our lives without need for validation from others. We can free our minds of backwards thoughts and ideas. We can rid ourselves and the world around us of prejudice and judgment for respect for those who are living in their authentic vision. In our newfound acceptance and love for others we can be proud of the way we live our lives.

The mere fact that we are alive each day is a gift that has a higher meaning. A friend once told me that “every breath we take is a miracle and to always be grateful for life.

On my daily rides I often stop at my favorite patisserie for an espresso in their back garden. It’s an escape from the world that helps me reset and unwind. A quiet sanctuary steps away from the busy street and the usual hectic traffic. I find a quiet table and take a deep breath and exhale to elevate my mood and feel gratitude. I tell myself that despite any troubles how fortunate I am to be alive and here in this place at this very moment.

In this normality I find my balance and know that all is well, no matter what the future may hold.  I think of how grateful I am to be in this moment at this place and time. The very act of being and breathing in a comforting space with a clear head and peace of mind. I have no worries because I know that nothing can hurt me as long as I choose to employ this state of mind.

Recently I met a new friend in the coffee shop whose spirit was glowing. We were seated near each other, and I could feel her energy and wisdom. At one point our eyes and consciousness merged together. Within minutes we were fast friends and eagerly shared our beliefs and spiritual values.

There’s a special feeling we get when we meet someone of like mind and attitude. Both writers with similar missions to help others live a better path and with greater understanding of themselves. All words have spirit and ours flowed freely. We shared our thoughts and core values. A connection of like minds and positive vibration. She listened to me and told me that I had a mental blockage that was holding me back. It was time for me to say the words “I am”. A moment of self-reflection and truth. All I needed to do was say the words and make it happen.

THE PRESENT IS IT

We’re happier when we live in the present and now. It’s in the present that we can feel a sense of knowing that we are doing right with our lives. Nothing is more life affirming than being able to look inward and see ourselves with clarity and dignity. To live a good life is to be happy wherever we are in the now. In the present when we are calm in the knowing that our lives are lived better when we are grounded and happy with who we are. We can be alone and savor the feeling or we can share it with others and help them reach this point in their existence. The joy that comes when we no longer fear the future and have happily left the past behind.

No matter how hard we try to avoid it, the future will always find us and it’s best to have a positive frame of mind. An attitude where we are ready for anything is one that will never fail us. Believing in our dreams and promises and bringing them to life. It all starts with being and feeling complete as we are and in how we view ourselves. The power of self-awareness is always there to guide and point us in a new direction. It’s how we see our lives and reaffirm our purpose and intention. It’s how we learn to say “I am” rather than I will or should be.

AFFIRMING REALITY INTO OUR LIVES

There’s no argument that we live in a crazy and chaotic world sometimes. Life moves fast and information and propaganda are ever present in all waking moments of our lives. We may tell ourselves that we aren’t easily swayed and will make independent minded decisions. All it needs is a little space to creep into and suddenly these things are dominating are decisions and making us succumb to becoming followers. We lose creativity and ability for freely thinking. We get lost in ridiculous conspiracy theories to make ourselves feel special. It’s never the path to happiness and makes us fragile and gullible. It’s the opposite of “I am” and increases our subjugation.

The good news is that we can fight these insidious powers when we realize that our best ally is found within us in our spirit and authenticity. These are tools for moving forward in life with clarity and purpose. Without need for validation from others. No more living our lives to please another, instead finding value for who we are and focusing on having a happier and better life. We can only make our dreams happen when we give ourselves permission to believe in ourselves fully.

There is no time limit as we search for meaning, but often all that we are looking for is found within. Happiness, love for ourselves, and our authentic being will never fail us if we’re brave enough to allow it to happen. It just takes a moment to tell ourselves that we deserve it. We can create the life we’ve always dreamed about when we believe in our right to be perfect as we are. “I am” is the place that we can call our own.
