5 empowering ways to make our lives worth fighting for

  • Written by Eric North aka “The Happiness Warrior”

All humans that have learned the secrets to living a fulfilling and happier life have one thing in common that provides more happiness and personal freedom. The ability to look forward to each day with gratitude and acceptance.

An all-knowing feeling and mindset that creates our momentum and preserves our intention. The aptitude and forbearance to forgive and forget the hurts and struggles of their past and look forward to each new day with joy and greater wisdom. An attitude that creates more happiness in our own lives and those around us. The ability to transcend life’s obstacles and problems with gratitude, clarity, and understanding. They’ve figured that life isn’t always as complicated as others make it out to be. Others will try to make us doubt and stumble but with this attitude and mindset we will never fail or stop believing in ourselves. Everything we need to know and have been searching for has always come from within. When we listen closely and respect our thoughts and feelings the magical lives we’ve been dreaming about will come to fruition.

1. Take whatever means are necessary to go from passive in our own lives.

Today is the first day of a new life and if we take action, no matter how small, big things will always happen. This is especially true for those who go through life complaining and not participating in exercising their rights and responsibilities. Stop blaming others for our disappointments and unrealistic expectations. Let others be and stop comparing our lives and circumstances to others. We never know what anyone else is truly thinking or feeling about themselves or others. Too often we make assumptions and go to great lengths to find more opportunities to look down on others to make ourselves feel bigger. This is the opposite of happiness and is all too common in our modern life. Who cares what someone else is doing when we could be doing it ourselves and learning how to use our inherent powers.

The process is simple and easily implemented when we start off with small goals. Show up for something that matters and learn more about how it impacts our core values and truths. Each time we do something the next time will become easier. The rhythm of life has a way of working out its symphony when we are active and engaged with the world around us. We are always at our happiest when we are tuned into our lives!

2. Stop resisting and experiencing the joy when we find happiness and self-awareness.

Seek adventure and remove the phrase comfort zone from our vocabularies. How do we know we don’t like something until we stop resisting and let it happen? When we are resistant to vulnerability and authenticity we will get in a rut of emotional instability and our truth will become secondary to our inauthentic narrative.

Learn to become comfortable with taking reasoned chances and opportunities. They will only exist in the moment and only return in another representation. This is how we learn to live our lives with no regrets and negative self-created emotions. Be light of heart, let things go, show empathy, and learn to love ourselves more.

3. Find greater meaning for our lives by allowing ourselves to focus on something that we do well and give it prominence in our lives.

Sometimes we have jobs and careers that keep us safe and comfortable, but we forget that we deserve more. Everyone deserves the opportunity to pursue their dreams and fulfill their destiny. How we get there is how we learn and enrich our lives and experiences.

Ideally, we are happiest when our careers and habits are fulfilling and make us feel satisfied and happier. When we love what we do we create more love and happiness in the world around us. Sometimes all it takes is a bit of courage and a holistic sense of what we need and deserve. Trust in the energy of the universe to help make this happen. It’s always there waiting for us to tap into its hopes and promises.

Find something that has meaning and make it a life intention. Greater good comes when pursuing meaningful projects and missions. Making the time and creating actions that have value are the path to a brighter future and life. We can immensely change the scope of everything when we are true to ourselves and understand our intention.

4. Pay attention to the smallest joys and happier moments.

They may seem trivial or insignificant at first but if we are able to change our perspective and focus we will become happier in all aspects and moments in our lives. There’s so much happening right in front of us at every moment. Tune in and feel the frequencies and vibrations that are constantly with us. Life is constantly sending us messages and opportunities that we miss without even realizing.

It's not easy to see our way clearly in this fast paced and chaotic world of our making. We are all complicit in our current environment of division and unexplained hatred. All humans are the same and no one is better than another. The evil that unleashed in our vile actions and thoughts can only be fought when we can win by our mindset and observed actions. Be better each day than the next and keep our eyes open.

Let go of fear as an emotion and see it with truth and clarity. Our deepest misconceptions are the only thing holding us back from living our best lives and realizing our dreams.

5. The people in our life tell us who we are.

Research has shown that people who create lives with satisfying relationships and interactions lead happier and more fulfilling lives. They have a purpose, their opinions and ideas are respected, and they are able to forgive and accept others for who they are. They are evolved and their vibration is constantly rising. They realize that there is more to life than possessions and accomplishments. What it really comes down to is our ability to feel kindness, empathy, and practice integrity.

When reach the point in our lives when we believe in ourselves and live authentically all of our irrational and self-created fears and doubts will disappear. We’ve found the way forward in a life that’s always challenging us with change and chaos. We know that we can do anything and set our minds to it because our attitude is in harmony with our happiness and core values. Self-actualized and aware of our inherent gifts and powers. Letting go of anything that no longer matters or provides value and function. We can live in a place of internalized happiness that radiates from our beings when we believe in our right to live our best lives. We are the creators of our destiny and happiness comes from within. Make the choice to see life more clearly and see how easy it is to win.
