When the lockdown began, I defined what we were going through as the Hallway of  Transformation.  During lockdown, the negative aspects were an increase in domestic violence,  addiction, alcoholic behavior.  On the positive side, many people took advantage and went  within for their own spiritual and emotional healing.

I would like to discuss the spiritual opportunities with faith, balance, harmony, communication  and belief, healing, letting go of people and objects from the past and becoming whole and one  within ourselves and our maker.  This is leading to a new form of enlightenment within each of  us as individuals and as a society.

Spirituality is a concept many confuse with religion. They are very different.  The new  spirituality today is prevalent among the majority seeking peace and harmony within  themselves and their lives.  Family, work, friendships, relationships.  Of course, shopping,  material things and abundance of objects is something most want to define themselves, but  more and more have discovered the importance is now spiritual and being a good person to  define oneself as opposed to all the collectables money can buy to boast ‘look at me’.

We have very different spiritual and material worlds of difference where the integrated person  combines their mind, body, spirit and finds their place in this world of fear, conflict,  manipulation and uncertainty.  We have been forced in to a world of mixed messages but the  spiritual enlightenment beyond the veil of our current conditions will assist the person to feel  more secure, develop the faith they need and calm down the anxieties of societal pressures of  our times.

The new spirituality does not require attending a group, organized religious services with  similar beliefs and teaching or identifying with a one theological sect.  The new spirituality can  be as simple as watching a butterfly flap its wings to remind each of us we are all a part of the  universe.  This is in no way discounting religious traditions or annual holidays which we can  observe.  Spirituality is a feeling, a practice on a day to day basis.  It is a new awareness of being  all one with the universe and God.  No one is ever alone…all one.

Of course, we all want the beautiful home, car, clothing, jewels, events to attend but most of us  do not acquire that level of comfort.  If and when we do, there is often a sacrifice.  In today’s  world, more people are returning to the old words of Buddha like finding enlightenment.  There  are hundreds of  definitions as to what enlightment is.

To me, is is as simple as saying ‘to lighten up’; let go of baggage, old resentments, feelings,  memories, belongings, keepsakes, friendships that no longer serve a purpose, etc.  Letting go is  part of the acceptance cycle.  Acceptance can be followed by forgiveness.  With fewer  attachments emotionally or physically, we spiritually ‘lighten up’, much like in John Lennon’s  song, “Imagine”.  He enviriosned a marterial less world, one without heaven or health; more  about our being just being.

Prayer is talking to God.  We ask for needs to be met whether for another who might be ill, to  have abundance to pay bills or to bring in a love.  We pray for peace from the chaos, we pray to  remove fear from society and situations.  We pray for protection.  Part of prayer is a tool to  becoming enlightened.  Prayers will usually be answered, sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly. Not all prayers are in the interest of each of us.  God’s will and our will often to don’t integrate and present the same end result.

If prayer is talking to God then listening within, is the meditation. We can achieve a form of  enlightenment by simply quieting our minds enough to hear and listen to the words of our  creator that go beyond the voices in our head of those we know. The simple, unique voice, a  whisper, actually, is that voice you want to trust. It will help achieve a sense of spirituality and  evolvment toward enlightment.

The harder we try to find some answer or reason, the more apt we are to miss the simple  solution or response.  Spirituality is a personal journey.  We need faith, even of the mustard  seed, to begin. To begin to believe Is ‘something’.  God has so many definitions, that, too, is a  personal concept.  I do not see God as punishing, nor do I feel God needs to be their ‘Christian’ vs my Jewish God.  God is God.  An energy, a being, a source, a light, a feeling?

Human existence, theories, theologians, psychchologists, scientists, philosophers, writers and  whoever…have a theory or idea as to what God is to them…or isn’t…and what faith, destiny,  harmony and peace is to them. We all find it in our own way in our own time.  For me, I was  knocked over the head a few times having been in a Boing 737 plane crash, hit by a firetruck  and then totaling a car leading me into the white light experience.

Trust me, I never thought anything like spirutality, the other side, the Will of God, Jesus,  Buddha, higher powers or whateve name you give the spirit existed until I was confronted in  three near death experiences in the early 80s.  All of those experiences lead me to my career as  a psychic and metaphysician.

With Covid19 forcing us into our homes, isolated from the outside world except for limited  shopping or medical purposes, we were not only frustrated but fearful. Through the fear, we  developed faith we would be okay. Unfortunately, we know too many who cannot or will not  survive the pandemic.  What we can do on a daily basis is stay healthy, protect ourselves, pray,  help another person and continue to find peace and balance.  Are we watching tv and movies  we missed? Are we creating written projects that have been on hold for too long? Are we  discarding and donating clothing, books, items no longer needed or attached to emotionally?

A lot of this ‘hallway of transformation’ is an unintended spiritual awakening to find ourselves,  to be better people and accept the ways of the universe.  Do I believe there is a political agenda  behind this? Yes, but not for the purpose of this article.  Is the world controlling humanity in the  new digital age? Yes, moreso than ever.  But, we as human beings have DNA. We are each  unique. No one can destroy that. The more enlightened, the more one will find God in all things.  Author Gregg Braden, analyzed the DNA strands with one of the oldest books of Jewish   mysticism.  Using a mathematical equation, Mr. Braden matched our DNA to the ancient  alphabet in this thory.  He replaced ancient alphabetical letters with the numbers of the  periodic table.  Once he analyzed our DNA, the words “God Eternal Within the Body” was the  sentence which was spelled out, proving the exisitence of God within us. How can we fight  what we are born with?

Is this not ‘enlightening’ to discover yet another correlation to life, existence and God? In our  DNA?  So if our chromosomes are so specific and it is written spiritually beyond our  comprehension, who are we to dispute the existence of God, enlightenment and purpose?  We  trust, believe, feel, operate on a different levels with different people.  But deep within, we are  all basically the same.

During the shift of the new spirituality, we are awakening once more to the ancient and  mystical teaching of Torah, Bible, Buddha and other great theories.  Regardless of what we read  and how we learn, what we feel, how we pray, find peace and harmony is dependant on our  trust and faith in this new world of challenges and ideas.  Life goes on and times change our  conditions.  But one thing that is constant is the enlightment that we are all one, never alone  and God Eternal Within The Body is in our genes. With this, we have the ability to grow and  love.

Metaphysical Clinician

Evolving from my earlier life as an epidemiologist and environmental health specialist to become a pioneer of “psychic radio, I have helped thousands of people via the airwaves and private practice. My life is proof that sometimes God and the universe have higher purposes for us than we can originally envision. I’ve been known throughout my career as the “#1 radio psychic” and also a “psychic’s psychic” who reads for others and helps people awaken to their gifts. Since earning my Ph.D in Metaphysics, I have fused my medical background and spiritual gifts as a metaphysical clinician, helping people with a unique approach that draws on science and spirit, the physical and esoteric.

I was not brought up in a religious Jewish household. I remember kneeling down at the side of my bed at around age 4 and my mom telling me to say my prayers. I did not understand the concept of God back then. I had a few past life recalls as a child.  Around the same time I learned to pray, I remember one specific evening in Pacoima, CA, where I lived in the late 50s. My dad was pointing to the stars, showing me constellations. I remember thinking, “Here I am again,” as if I recognized the sky.

A year earlier, in January 1957, I was outside playing. Upon hearing a loud crash in the sky, I looked up to witness two planes collide in mid-air. Those planes killed two children on a junior high playground.  It was the same plane crash which haunted Richie Valens until the day he died in a plane crash. I went into shock for about 9 months.

Fast forward to the mid-60s.  One day while the family was in the car, I asked my dad what he thought God was.  He pointed to a tree and said, “If you want that tree to be your God, that’s your God.” I could not put that together with the feelings I had inside, but made the best sense of it that I could.  I was a rather defiant teenager and started to discover God every time I prayed when I was grounded. By the time I was in grad school at the University of Michigan, I knew something was lacking within me, but couldn’t pinpoint what I was searching for.

The road to my ultimate spiritual destiny began on February 17, 1981, when 24 years after witnessing two planes collide, I was in a much-publicized plane crash at John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California. I heard a voice. Ninety minutes prior to the crash, I had had a premonition of the exact spot the plane would crack in half - and felt 50 feet out of my body for over four months.

I was on company business when the plane crashed. The following year, my car was hit by a fire truck on my way to an interview in public health.  I totaled my car and had the white light experience in 1984. The voice said, “You can come with now or stay and do…”  I was given a message.  I stayed.  When the paramedics extracted me, I screamed, “They want me off the planet, they want me off the planet!” and drove me to UCLA ER.  No one understood my insights, pleas or experiences back then.

I was lost for several years after the accident - but once I began to trust some force, process, light, experience, and watch for the synchronicity and rhythm of the universe, I knew I’d found God.  I let go and allowed things to unfold. Once I stopped trying to control everything and began to understand the will of God vs .my own self-centered will, I experienced some amazing revelations.

I became psychic after the plane crash.  My mind, heart and soul opened in ways which both frightened and intrigued me.  I had no one to talk to about this.  When I told the shrink at UCLA that I felt God put me on that plane, I distinctly remember him asking me what God had to do with it. My inner response was, EVERYTHING. I felt in tune with the depth of feelings, realizations, how events occur and watching for a master plan, much like Dr. Carl Jung wrote about.

I stopped running after 12 years of becoming psychic and doors began to open for me on radio and TV, where I created a career helping people spiritually. As time went on, I prayed, sought, watched, cried, was frustrated, and embraced an energy and faith I never knew.  This was not just intuition.  I was not just a psychic. I was being initiated by the other side to help people here on earth. I have no idea why I was chosen.  I have insight and wisdom from somewhere I never studied or sought.  It simply channeled through me.

When my aunt was dying of cancer in 1996, she said she’d toss pinecones to prove she was ok.  Returning to her apartment morning after she died, I heard her say, “There are pinecones”.  I searched the grounds of her complex.  There were no pine trees.  Just before I reached her building, I spotted three small pinecones on the ground…one for my two cousins and myself.  Prior to leaving my house to meet the family, my keychain broke. I had an “Infiniti” symbol on my chain.  I drove a 1999 Infiniti and she had a 2000.  That key chain had never fallen apart.  It did that morning.  The pinecones and key chain were a message that she was ok on the other side.

My life since the plane crash 39 years ago is full of coincidences, acts of God, miracles and messages.  I believe we are all a part of the big spirit in the sky. We all walk in unison if we just stop, watch and observe. This is not about religion.  That’s man made. Spirituality just is…The birds, trees, people, stars and energy…it’s all about Love.
