The basic tips

The Hi-Lo counting technique depends on probability, odds, and excellent memory to remember the cards play out. 

- Start by memorizing the assigned values for each card where the high cards (ten) are King Queen, Ace, and Jack that count as a minus one, Low cards (two to six) as plus one, and Seven to Nine as zero.

- If playing online, press play to deal the cards.

- The calculate the total value of the cards during the 40-seconds limit allowed; add and subtract the card value to get your last figure.

- Type the last figure in the box or use the arrows to select your answer.

- A correct answer will progress the game. Continue subtracting and adding the card value as you go.

- Memorize the total as you progress, noting the second round will be the total first and the second rounds, and so on.

Advanced card counting

After mastering the Hi-Lo technique, you are ready to progress to more advanced techniques. There are several advanced techniques, as outlined below.

Omega II. The technique is a balanced system that uses zero as the base. The card values are; Two, three, and seven as one, Four and five, and six as two, Nine is as Minus one, Ten and all face cards as minus two, and Eight and Ace cards as zero

Wong Halves; It’s a balanced deck that means the count should be at zero; when dealt, you deal the deck. Consider doubling the levels if you hate using fractions. The values are as follows; Three, Four, and six as one, two, and seven at 0.5, Five as 1.5, Eight as zero, Nine as -0.5, and Ten, Ace and face cards as minus one.
