Tuesday, 14 June 2016.…When it opens later this month, Hemingway's Brewery will introduce a breathtaking new venue to Port Douglas' thriving events market, featuring multiple indoor and outdoor spaces catering for functions and events of all sizes with panoramic views of the rainforest clad ranges and entrance to the world-famous Great Barrier Reef.
Upstairs@Hemingway's is an expansive events space set to become North Queensland's most sought-after new venue for weddings, celebrations and corporate functions when the waterfront microbrewery, bar and restaurant opens in June as part of The Reef Marina's multi-million-dollar expansion.
Featuring spacious, private decks providing a natural fit with the tropical environment, Upstairs@Hemingway's offers guests 180 degree views from the marina across sparkling waters to lush rainforest, while an exclusive bar serves fresh craft beer brewed on-site from the state-of-the-art microbrewery located on the ground level.
The air-conditioned first-floor venue comprises an indoor space of 90sqm, as well as decks spanning 42sqm, and is available for cocktail functions of up to 140 guests, or seats 80 guests for lunch or dinner events.
The complex's lower level comprises the bar and brewery and is another versatile events venue that can readily be converted into dedicated zones, with capacity to host cocktail functions of up to 650 guests, or seated functions for up to 300 guests.
Linked to the boardwalk overlooking the Reef Marina, this space boasts a 14m bar where guests are able to marvel through large feature windows at the magic taking place in the working microbrewery, with brewery tours and tastings also available.
Hemingway's Brewery general manager Dean Scadding said the venue provided an ideal location for all sorts of events, and would provide a stand-out option for the 700-plus couples hosting weddings in Port Douglas every year.

Food and beverage packages are customised to suit each occasion, with several menu options available.
Envisaged as a relaxed destination embodying the essence of its idyllic coastal location, Hemingway's Brewery is destined to inject an exciting new energy into the town's busy marina hub.
After a 10 month development phase, Hemingway's much-anticipated, two-level venue is set to open towards the end of June 2016. The new events and leisure destination comprises a bar and restaurant spanning over 850 square metres with indoor and outdoor seating for at least 450 people, spacious decks and picturesque views of the Marina and beyond.
