From the members of Half Mile Home, we believe that spiritual & inspirational music was placed before us to help motivate & create a higher level of praise. Whether it be in service with multiple people, at work or in the privacy of your home. Spiritual music takes you in a journey that will have most crying, laughing & shouting for joy all in 1,it can lift you up when your down, the vibration of the drums & the chords along with the melody often takes you takes place of peace that surpasses all understanding. Todd Burton a key member of Half Mile Home shared my grandmother told me & my brother “BUTTONS” one of the Lead lead singers in  Half Mile Home, she stated in her illness that when your in that last stage of life & you feel the tugging of the LORD as life begins to halt, the only music that will give you that peace & comfort is the sounds of a spiritual tune.  She said Elvis, The Beatles, Prince & Micheal Jacksonall have great songs but those are not songs you want to hear in your departing of life. So that always stuck with us & thats one of the main reasons we returned back to the gospel as we was doing well singing R&B.
